Morpheus8 - The Skin You're In, January 2026
Happy New Year, Lake Charles! As we step into 2026, many of my patients are looking for a fresh start—not just in their habits, but in their skin. If the last few years have taught us anything in the world of aesthetics, it’s that patients are looking for maximum results with minimal downtime.

Williamson Cosmetic Center & Perenack Aesthetic Surgery – Lake Charles, LA
As a Medical Aesthetician here at the Williamson Cosmetic Center, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of patients achieve their aesthetic goals. One treatment continues to stand out as our "gold standard" for skin tightening and remodeling: Morpheus8.
Whether you are looking to snatched-up your jawline, smooth out "crepey" skin on the neck, or address stubborn acne scarring, Morpheus8 is the powerhouse tool I reach for most. Because I get so many inquiries about this procedure at our Lake Charles office, I wanted to kick off the year by answering the questions I hear most often in my consultation room.
The Top 10 Morpheus8 Questions
1. What exactly is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production in the underlying layers of the dermis. By combining microneedling with Radiofrequency (RF) energy, we can actually remodel the fat and tighten the skin from the inside out.
2. Does the treatment hurt?
This is the number one concern! While Morpheus8 goes deeper than traditional microneedling, we prioritize your comfort. We use a high-strength topical numbing cream, and in some cases, we utilize local anesthetic to ensure the experience is very tolerable.
3. What areas can be treated?
While the lower face and neck are the most popular, Morpheus8 is incredible for the body as well. We use it to treat "mummy tummy," loose skin above the knees, and even stretch marks.
4. How many sessions will I need?
While you will see an improvement after one session, I typically recommend a series of three treatments spaced about 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results.
5. When will I see results?
You’ll notice a "glow" within days, but the real magic happens at the 3-month mark. It takes time for your body to produce new collagen and elastin.
6. Is it safe for all skin types?
Yes! One of the reasons I love Morpheus8 is that it is "color-blind" technology. Unlike some lasers, it is safe for darker skin tones with a very low risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
7. How long do the results last?
Results can last 1–2 years. I usually recommend a single maintenance treatment once a year to keep that collagen production high as we continue to age.
8. Can I combine this with other treatments?
Absolutely. Many of my patients combine Morpheus8 with injectable fillers or Botox/Dysport. For those looking for more significant contouring, we often pair it with FaceTite or AccuTite.
9. What makes Morpheus8 different from regular microneedling?
Regular microneedling creates "channels" to trigger healing. Morpheus8 adds RF energy, which generates heat. This heat is what causes the skin to contract (tighten) and allows us to contour subdermal fat.
10. Why should I come to Williamson Cosmetic Center for this?
Experience matters. At Williamson Cosmetic Center, we aren't just "operating a machine." We understand the anatomy of the face and neck. My reputation in Lake Charles is built on providing natural-looking, safe, and effective results tailored specifically to your unique bone structure and skin quality.
The Recovery: What to Expect
One of the best things about Morpheus8 is the "social downtime."
- Day 1-2: You will likely experience some redness and slight swelling, similar to a moderate sunburn. You may see tiny "micro-lesions" or grid marks from the needles.
- Day 3-5: Any redness typically fades to a pinkish hue. You can usually begin wearing makeup again after 48 hours.
- Post-Care: The most important rule is Sunscreen! Your skin will be fresh and sensitive to UV rays. I provide all my Lake Charles patients with a specific post-care regimen to ensure the skin stays hydrated and protected.
