Dr. Emile A. Picarella, Jr.
Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Picarella is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery and Plastic Surgery training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he served as chief administrative resident, an esteemed position among his colleagues. He went on to practice in Madison, MS, for over 12 years. As a New Orleans native, devoted husband to his stunning bride Manuella, and father of six, he chose to relocate to his home state of Louisiana.
Dr. Picarella chose plastic surgery because he is committed to patient-centered care while integrating state-of-the-art technology and expert surgical care to provide many cosmetic and reconstructive options to southern Louisiana. His daily mission is to provide elite, innovative, operative techniques delivered by a compassionate surgeon, focused exclusively on obtaining the best outcome for his patients.
Dr. Picarella is talented in all facets of plastic surgery, including cosmetic surgery, hand surgery, complex reconstruction, breast reconstruction, as well as massive weight loss reconstruction. We believe that patient safety, privacy, and care should always be the priority. Your experience with us starts with a personal consultation with Dr. Picarella. He will listen thoroughly to your desires and goals and then present multiple procedure options available to you. He believes that aesthetic sense and technical skill are most important, along with a complete consultation explaining the entire procedure in understandable terms. Dr. Picarella is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
