QWO Cellulite Treatment

Do you suffer from cellulite on your buttocks? Cellulite is a reality that millions of women have to deal with every year. It comes from a combination of causes that occur underneath your skin, and up until now, treating it has been difficult, if not impossible.

But now, there is a new FDA-approved treatment for cellulite that is clinically proven to reduce cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. This first and only FDA-approved treatment is QWO.

The doctors at Williamson Cosmetic Center can now end your struggle with cellulite on your buttocks using QWO!

What Causes Cellulite?

Three things cause cellulite. All occur underneath your skin, and all get targeted by QWO injections.

The first is a tightening or tension caused by thickening in the fibrous bands underneath your skin. Second, enlarging fat cells contribute to the signature dimples on the skin known as cellulite. And, third, thinning skin leads to the appearance of cellulite on your buttocks.

What is QWO?

QWO is an injectable prescription medicine that treats moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. As of now, it is only approved for treating the buttocks, but QWO may be able to treat other areas in the future.

QWO injections contain enzymes called collagenases. These enzymes may target the causes of cellulite underneath your skin. Although, it is not fully understood how QWO affects the causes of cellulite.

Likely, QWO does three things after getting injected into your buttocks. First, it releases tension in the fibrous bands under your skin to give your skin a more relaxed suppleness. Relaxing the skin lowers the tightness pressing on your fat cells, which creates the appearance of cellulite dimples.

At the same time, QWO redistributes growing fat cells which cause cellulite dimples to become more prominent. And while doing that, it also stimulates the growth of new collagen to make your skin thicker and healthier.

Common Questions About QWO

Does QWO Have Side Effects?

Like any medical treatment, QWO does have potential side effects. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in QWO, you should not use it to treat your cellulite.

Also, you cannot get QWO if you have an infection at the injection site. Potential side effects of QWO include:

  • Allergic reactions
  • Injection site bruising
  • Pain
  • Areas of hardness near the injection site
  • Itching
  • Redness
  • Discoloration
  • Swelling and warmth in the treatment area

Most of these symptoms should go away on their own, but if you think you have an allergic reaction, contact your doctor immediately. Common allergy symptoms include:

  • Hives
  • Breathing trouble
  • Low blood pressure
  • Swollen face
  • Chest pain
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Anaphylaxis

Also, if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant or nursing, you cannot get QWO. If you get QWO after pregnancy, your doctor will help you decide if you will get QWO or breastfeed.

Who Can Get QWO?

QWO is only FDA-approved for adults to treat cellulite on their buttocks.

What Happens When You Get QWO Cellulite Treatment?

QWO treatments occur over two months. During that period, you have three visits to your doctor’s office for injections. Each treatment visit may include up to two treatment areas, and injections take ten minutes or less.
